1. Verify the relative position of the support roller axis to the thrust group roller, if both rollers are correctly inclined, then they must push towards the kiln slope (towards the kiln outlet).

2. In many cases it is difficult to observe the thrust group roller, in this case another simple method is the “finger rule” or "rules of thumb":

• Stand in front of the kiln

• Open hands with palms up.

• Index fingers and thumbs extended forward.

• The index fingers indicate the bearings and the direction of adjustment to make the kiln move in the direction of the thumb of the same hand.
