New cement plant in Nigeria

Nigeria’s second largest cement producer, BUA Cement, is set to establish a 3 million t cement plant and a 50 megawatts power plant in the North Easter region of the country.
Abdul Samad Rabiu,Chairman of BUA, noted that the projects would generate three thousand direct and five thousand indirect jobs, and said that the company is ready to invest in the two local governments of Guyuk and Lamurde, due to their good quality limestone deposits.
It was also announced that the company has invested billions of dollars in sectors across Nigeria, and will source its raw materials locally. Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri thanked the company for expressing an interest in the cement plant in Guyuk and assured them that the company will receive the support it requires from the government.
